Birthday Wishes Double Easel Card

Here's another fun birthday card I made and sent to someone recently.   I used scraps from the now retired Wildflower Birthdays collection to make a double easel card.


I stamped the sentiment from the With You in Mind stamp set in Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party, then fussy cut around the edges.

The gold foil accents are part of this collection.

Floral Impressions Happy Birthday

This card uses the Floral Impressions DSP and bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) with Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Darling Duckling, and Old Olive.


Be sure to decorate the inside of your card and the outside of your envelope!  I added Pecan Pie for the flower centers.


The Happy sentiment is from the Layered Thoughts stamp set, and the birthday letters were die cut with the Alphabet a la Mode dies.

Virtual Album Retreat: August Layout

Earlier this month I was able to complete my August highlights scrapbook layout thanks to the amazing virtual Month-by-Month Album Retreat (still available, while supplies last HERE, with an invite to a private Facebook page with teaching videos). 

It was fun blending ink on the rays to make them pop!


The clouds and some of the circle accents also got a little blending love.


The right page uses flip flaps to add more photos to tell our story.  It was a big month for us!  Can you see how the thread connects the photos to the journaling?

With Heartfelt Sympathy Card (September Card Class #2)

Though I often make cards specifically for the recipient, I also try to have a few birthday, thinking of you, and sympathy cards on hand.  I used Peaceful Garden suite for this card.

This card has a flap on the front that was cut from the front of the card.


Don't forget to decorate the inside of your cards!

Happy Fall (Birthday), Y’all! (September Card Class #1)

This card is the first card of four that my lovely ladies and I made at my September monthly card class.  (Please reach out if you'd like to know more!  I teach monthly card and scrapbooking classes in my home with kit options available if you're not local or can't attend in person.  I also offer class instructions PDFs for a small fee.)


This card features the gorgeous Earthen Toned Metallics 12"x12" Specialty Paper dry embossed with the Peaceful Greenery 3-D embossing folder.  (Don't you love how a Christmas-themed suite can also be used for fall?)  I stamped the sentiment from the With You in Mind stamp set with Pecan Pie ink on the Very Vanilla die cut label.  I cut the Pecan Pie sprig from the coordinating Peaceful Garden dies and the Crushed Curry sprig from the (retired) Perennial Lavender dies.  I stamped the leaves from past Paper Pumpkin kits in Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow then fussy cut.  I finished with Streaked Dots and some linen thread.

Don’t you love the shine of the Earth and tone metallic specialty paper?

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop: Use Flip Flaps

Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Stampin' Up! September Blog Hop!  I'm excited to be part of this group!  If you're already hopping, then you've probably arrived from Michelle's blog.


This month we are highlighting a favorite product of mine, flip flaps!


On the left page, I used a 4x6 flip flap to reveal a smaller photo and hidden journaling.  (The large journaling box actually has a lot of journaling, including our daughter's new address that I didn't want to share publicly.)


I used the Make a Memory scrapbooking kit with a few additional supplies like Pretty Peacock & White Willow cardstock and Petal Pink DSP.

They can also be used to make a quick shaker card!

Virtual Album Retreat: March Layout

The techniques you'll learn with the Virtual Album Retreat videos provide such great value to the bundle!  I think I'm getting pretty good at ink blending!  What do you think? 

This patchwork design was fun to work with and not something I would normally try.  (Again, I've learned something new that I will try again.

I added a 3x4 flip flap because I had more photos than "recommended" (but seriously, you can make these layouts work for any photos!).  I have the missing photo ordered.

Virtual Album Retreat: February Layout

This layout was probably the most challenging one to make, but boy was it fun!  I messed up a bit on following directions, but no one will ever know! 


On the right page, I love the interactive heart with journaling!  It is absolutely okay to cut your page protectors to access these little gems!  (And I will be adding a photo to the empty mat; I just missed getting it ordered in time.)


What do you think of this color combo?  I would have never chosen it myself, but I love how it turned out!

Virtual Album Retreat: January Layout

I'm using this bundle to document 2025, month by month.  I've finally had time to work on it, and here is my take on the January layout.  On the right page, the tags will pull out to read the journaling and see more photos.  (I'm waiting on some 3x4 flip flaps to finish the photos on the tag.)

Floral Impressions for Fall

This weekend, I challenged myself to create a fall card with the Floral Impressions DSP and coordinating bundle (stamp set and dies).  What do you think? 

I used Darling Duckling, Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie, and Garden Green cardstock paired with Pecan Pie ink.  I embellished the card wtih floss is from my stash & Neutral Matte Dots.

Peaceful Garden Quilt Card

This Sunday, I'm hosting my September card making and scrapbooking class that will feature the Peaceful Garden suite.  I made this quilt card to show off the pretty papers and versatility of this suite.
